As a large-scale free public festival, Lumieres Hong Kong is a dedicated event to enhance the culture and heritage appreciation of the general audience.

With the objectives to benefit the widest audience possible, and to involve the different communities of the rich territory of Hong Kong, Lumieres Hong Kong’s education and outreach programmes will dedicate activities to the young, student or other differently-abled audiences.

Neon light workshops, guided tours, lectures and participative contents are especially developed in partnership with different youth and social welfare organisations and schools. The outreach programmes will also feature an interactive smartphone app illustrating the landmark sites’ and buildings’ history and docent tours for the disadvantaged, in order to promote community engagement and make art accessible to all.

Become an artist and express yourself through light. You might be able to participate in Lumieres Hong Kong next year!

Special Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions
When the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above; or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued and is still in force 3 hours before the event is scheduled to begin, the event will be cancelled.
(If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is lowered 3 hours before the event is scheduled to commence, the event will continue.)

Participants should take self-suitability assessment for joining Lumieres Hong Kong education activities.
